Nestled on the enchanting shores of Lake Rosseau, Windermere House is a true gem that perfectly marries nostalgia with modern comforts, making it an exceptional retreat for any traveler. During my recent stay over Christmas, I was charmed by the elegant Victorian architecture, which beautifully contrasts with the contemporary amenities-especially the plush beds draped in crisp linens that ensured a restful night's sleep after indulging in their exquisite seven-course tasting menu. The hotel's warm atmosphere, amplified by the friendly staff, truly elevated our experience. Honestly, there's something delightful about relaxing in luxurious Muskoka chairs on the lawn while gobbling down delectable pub fare and soaking in the serene views of the lake. Plus, the AMBA Health & Beauty Spa, with its inviting treatments and restorative lounge, was the cherry on top-the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. What I particularly appreciated was how welcoming the staff were, especially our cheery receptionist, who made us feel like old friends-this personal touch turned our stay into something special. So if you're yearning for a blend of nature, relaxation, and unforgettable culinary experiences, Windermere House should be at the top of your list-it's more than a stay, it's an experience steeped in charm and warmth that makes you want to return!
